Finally, after six long years, we’re finally on the approach to the MCU’s next Avengers film.
Admittedly, we still have a way to go.
Avengers: Doomsday isn’t set to be released until May 2026, but filming is getting underway imminently which means we’re already hearing plenty of little tidbits about the movie.

Concept art recently surfaced online potentially showing what Doomsday’s iterations of Latveria / Battleworld may have in store, plus the Russo brothers are even going as far as teasing the film’s runtime which, yes, is weird when filming is yet to commence.
I’d imagine they’re going off the length of the script but that’s only accurate if there’s no reshoots or drastic edit adjustments.
Another interesting scrap of information that’s come to light actually concerns Kang.
Robert Downey Jr. is set to star as the film’s big bad, bringing Doctor Doom to life, but it’s believed that Doomsday will end Kang’s storyline once and for all - and we now have an idea of how.

Thunderbolts* is the next film in line for the MCU.
The Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez is back with another round of insider knowledge.
I should stress that you should take his information with a pinch of salt, although Perez has become quite renowned for his MCU intel.

Perez claims that plans for Kang aren’t actually all that dissimilar to what would’ve taken place in The Kang Dynasty, now titled Doomsday.
The Council of Kangs has been dropped, but as he explains, “It’s still a very similar story being told: and that’s that the remaining heroes of the remaining worlds of the multiverse have to find a way to save their own universe and how they’d go about in doing that, even if it means the destruction of the other universe to save their own."
He went on to add that Doom will, like Thanos, view himself as the hero; stopping incursions to avoid a multiversal collapse.
Doom is believed to feel great resentment towards He Who Remains, a Kang variant, for creating the Sacred Timeline.

As such, it sounds as if Doom will be the one to eliminate Kang, as many of us expected.
Of course, we won’t know for certain until the film drops and confirms these whispers but you’ve got to admit, it’s all making a lot of sense.
