Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars, have been teased by the Russo Brothers and it already sounds fantastic.
When it was announced that the Russo Brothers would be returning to direct the next two Avengers films fans were excited, after all Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are both absolute cinema.
While certain projects after Endgame haven’t quite lived up to fan expectations, Captain America: Brave New World is looking pretty great so far
As you might expect news on the next Avengers films has been pretty hush-hush, after all nobody wants anything to get leaked and spoil whatever surprises are planned for the crossover events.

That said, the Russo Brothers have shared a few details on what fans can expect, including the news that they’re eyeing up IMAX for both films.
Speaking about the films, the Russo’s told Collider "Absolutely. Hopefully, these are two of the biggest movies of the decade, and they deserve to be seen in the IMAX format. Those are all the conversations we're having right now."
They’re right about them being two of the biggest films of the decade, especially since Robert Downey Jr has returned to play Doctor Doom.
When it was announced Robert Downey Jr will be returning to the role fans were concerned that this was going to be some rogue variant of Iron Man who’s taken on the role of a supervillain.

Let's be real though, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has rarely messed up one of its major villains like Thanos.
While it'll be kind of weird to see Robert Downey Jr go from Iron Man to Doctor Doom on the big screen it'll likely be handled with grace, and potentially be one of the greatest villain portrayals in cinema.
Avengers: Doomsday and its sequel Avengers: Secret Wars are both scheduled to release in 2026 and 2027 respectively, with filming for Doomsday reportedly taking place in Spring 2025.
