Lord of the Rings fans are eating good this year.
First up, we got The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim dropping in December. We’ve also got official confirmation of a brand new Lord of the Rings film in the works, following the release of The Hunt for Gollum in 2026.
Then, of course, we also got the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power earlier this year. Every LOTR fan unanimously agrees that The Rings of Power is great and nobody is mad that it exists, right?

Well, if you’re not a fan of all this new-fangled, non-canon Lord of the Rings content that’s currently on its way then rejoice; because Amazon is re-releasing the original trilogy in a brand new collection.
“The Lord of the Rings Trilogy One Ring Giftbox Special Edition” just dropped on Amazon, and it seems to be directly targeting all of the folks who keep angrily pestering the streaming giant for releasing new LOTR content.
The One Ring Special Edition is touted as featuring “Theatrical and Extended Editions” of the original Peter Jackson trilogy “in 4K Ultra HD”, alongside a fancy “Limited New Book Packaging with faux-leather finish, gold foil, and embossing”.
It doesn’t end there though, as fans can also get their hands on a “Noble Collection” replica of the One Ring.

Noble Collection is known for its high-quality replicas and has worked on The Lord of the Rings several times before in the past, alongside their other work on franchises such as Harry Potter, Star Trek, Game of Thrones and Jurrasic Park.
They also produced this gorgeous £450 Lord of the Rings chess set, which I would love to get for Christmas if any of my family members are reading this.
Speaking of, the One Ring Giftbox Special Edition collection officially drops on the 9th of December this year if there are any LOTR fans in your life that are difficult to shop for.
