At long last, our brand-new Golden Trio has been announced as the main casting for the upcoming HBO Harry Potter reboot is finally here.
With the HBO Harry Potter reboot expected to revisit the story of the Boy Who Lived, which in turn was inspired by the book series by J.K. Rowling and the subsequent movie series which were released throughout the early 2000s, fans have been eager to learn the brand-new cast members.
Now at long last, we have received the actors who will be portraying Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley in the television adaptation which is expected to run for seven seasons.

Harry will be played by Dominic McLaughlin, Hermione will be played by Arabella Stanton, and Ron will be played by Alastair Stout.

Up until now, the showmakers have revealed characters such as Severus Snape, Albus Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall and Argus Filch with Paapa Essiedu, John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, and Paul Whitehouse respectively taking on the roles.
Now they will be joined by a bright new cast consisting of young and unknown actors who we are sure will perfectly fit into the iconic roles.

Upon first glance, it is pretty clear that they match the book descriptions pretty well and with the HBO series expected to take a lot longer to go into more detail, we will expect to see these young actors grow up just as Harry, Hermione and Ron will throughout the series.
So much so, that Harry Potter is expected to run for seven seasons, with each season representing one book/movie.
Filming is expected to begin this summer so it is no surprise that Warner Bros. and HBO have chosen now to announce the Golden Trio actors.
There are, of course, plenty more castings to look forward to including for beloved characters such as Draco Malfoy, the Dursleys, other Hogwarts’ professors, and many more.

However, with many fans already feeling optimistic with the current cast list, it seems as though Harry Potter is already on the right track for when it officially airs some time in 2026.
