The Harry Potter HBO reboot show has reportedly found who it wants to play Molly Weasely, Ron’s mum, but nothing is set in stone yet.
As you might have heard, the story of the boy who lived, Harry Potter, is being retold through a high-budget HBO TV series.

Instead of telling the tales from the books in several films, the series will presumably dedicate entire seasons to each novel to really flesh out the story and characters, something the films got criticised for especially regarding Harry’s romance partners like Ginny Weasley.

While an official casting list hasn’t been revealed yet but it's believed actors for iconic characters like Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape have been found.
Adding to the list a leaker has revealed some other cast members being considered, including Jessica Hynes and Peter Capaldi as Molly Weasley and Garrick Ollivander.
You may know Jessica Hynes from various British comedies and sitcoms like Shaun Of The Dead, Spaced, or The Royle Family. Hynes has also appeared in the Harry Potter franchise before, providing the voice of Mafalda Hopkirk in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Again nothing is set in stone as Warner Bros is yet to confirm the casting, but it’d be a pretty good one if they do.

Other recent news about the TV adaptation is that J.K Rowling will have a role in the production, much to the dismay of fans who still haven’t forgiven her for some distasteful remarks against the trans community.
Warner Bros and HBO Max has defended the decision though, saying she will be utilised to ensure the adaptation is the best it can be.
There’s no word on when the TV series will be released, though we can perhaps expect a release date and cast list sometime this year.
