Tomb Raider: The Crypt Of Chronos officially announced

Tomb Raider: The Crypt Of Chronos officially announced

We are off on another adventure

Tomb Raider fans just keep on winning.

From an upcoming animated television show to an upcoming RPG, Tomb Raider is still as popular today as it was back when Lara Croft first appeared in 1996.

Now it has been announced that the Tomb Raider franchise is heading to the board games market with Tomb Raider: The Crypt of Chronos heading to Kickstarter in May 2025.

Check out the trailer for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft below!

From Iconiq Studios, The Crypt of Chronos is an epic action-packed board game starring Lara Croft herself as she embarks on a journey to the elusive island of Kairos.

It is here she must search for an artifact rumored to hold the reins of time but she will have to navigate dangerous terrain, dodge clever traps and confront an enemy from her past if she wishes to obtain the precious item.

The board game features everything you would expect from a Tomb Raider entry: epic combat, puzzle-solving and twists and turns at every corner.

As with every Tomb Raider title, The Crypt of Chronos can be played alone. However, it can also be played with friends with the whole group having to think strategically if they wish to navigate the dangerous island.

As mentioned, Tomb Raider: The Crypt of Chronos arrives on Kickstarter next year but you can join the pre-register page now for more information as it is released.

With sessions ranging from 20 to 180 minutes, you can approach the game however you see fit but as with any board game, it encourages replayability.

Don’t miss out if you miss the world of Tomb Raider whilst waiting for its next official projects.

On that topic, the Tomb Raider anime The Legend of Lara Croft is arriving on Netflix on 10 October.

It tells the story of our favourite adventurer following on from the events that took place in the Tomb Raider trilogy reboot.

As a result, it fills a gap in the Tomb Raider timeline and brings the reboot trilogy up-to-date with the original series of games.
