Yes, fighting monsters and finding Ciri are all very important tasks in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but we all know what’s more important is deciding who Geralt should romance.
Triss or Yen? That is the dilemma you must face when playing through the events of The Witcher 3.

Should Geralt pursue his first true love Yennefer or risk it all for the red-headed Triss?
If you know me, you would know that I’m Team Yennefer all the way but for Geralt’s voice actor Doug Cockle, there is a different option entirely.
In a recent interview on the Fall Damage YouTube channel, Cockle spoke about his experience playing the iconic Geralt of Rivia.
When asked if he is Team Triss or Team Yen, he revealed that he would choose neither and would instead choose to romance medic Shani instead.

"I mean, I get it, we want to choose between Triss and Yen, you know they can only make so many storylines and stuff like that, but I would have liked an option to romance Shani," he says.
"She would have been fun to romance because she's so sweet and smart."
The red-haired medic is a student at the Academy of Oxenfurt and plays a minor part in the story.
However, Geralt is able to have a brief romantic encounter with her during the Hearts of Stone DLC.

Furthermore, she is also romanceable in The Witcher so that could mean she will play a more important role in the upcoming The Witcher 4.
It was in this same interview that Cockle also revealed that although Geralt will be making an appearance in the next instalment, he will not play the lead role.
“What we know is that Geralt will be part of the game, we just don’t know how much, and the game won’t focus on Geralt,” Cockle revealed.
So it remains to be seen if Ciri will take the reins or we will step into the shoes of a new Witcher entirely.
