You would think that after almost 10-years, players would have discovered all there is to find in The Witcher 3. However, that is apparently not the case.
Released back in 2015 (which was scarily almost 10 years ago), The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt quickly became one of the most popular RPG titles of all time. Praised for its incredible story, flawed characters and fun combat, the CD Projekt Red hit is still talked about to this day.

As with any open-world RPG, there are bound to be secrets and Easter eggs all throughout the map. Just this week we reported on the discovery that we had been fast travelling wrong all this time! However, another secret has seemingly reared its head.

Courtesy of one user over on r/Witcher3, the area on the map surrounding Eldberg Lighthouse in Skellige is home to a mysterious cave that many of us would have probably missed.
“What is the cave on Elberg for?” they asked. “It's fairly hidden so one would expect something special there and yet besides three drowners and some trash there is nothing there. I also don't recall any missions to take place there.”
I for one also don’t remember visiting this cave but the mystery was soon solved when fellow The Witcher 3 fans explained how this was part of a quest but most players never end up going there.
The cave features in the main quest titled The Sunstone where Geralt must, you guessed it, search for the Sunstone. However, before long our Witcher is tasked with an option in gameplay with one of the options being to travel to the mysterious cave.

This is where you will find the pearl divers lurking in the underwater cave but of course, this is only triggered if the storyline takes you there. Otherwise players will just find some drowners and basic loot.
The mysterious cave is just one of many secrets found across The Witcher 3’s extensive map and who knows what else we will find over the next 10 years?
