If you haven’t yet finished bingeing Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1, stop what you’re doing and go and watch it. I honestly didn’t think the show could get any better, but this season is just top tier plus you’re running out of time as Vol. 2 is mere days away.
If you thought Vol. 1 boasted some hefty running times, Vol. 2 is ready to take things up a notch. The second part to Stranger Things’ fourth season may only contain two episodes but they have a whopping collective runtime of four hours. Even more Stranger Things’ content may be on the way though, as the Duffer brothers have teased a new spin-off.
Check out the brand new trailer for Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 below. Beware, there are spoilers for those who are yet to complete Vol. 1.
The Duffer brothers have been teasing a spin-off for quite some time but in a new interview with Variety, they divulged that the spin-off may enter development whilst Stranger Things’ fifth season is being filmed. Ross Duffer said, “Probably. There's a version developing in parallel, they would never shoot it parallel. I think, actually, we're gonna start delving into that soon, I think, as we're winding down and finishing these visual effects. Matt and I are gonna start getting into it."

Matt Duffer added, “The reason we haven't done anything is just because you don't want to be doing it for the wrong reasons. It was just, 'Is this something I would want to make regardless of it being related to Stranger Things or not?' And, definitely. Even if we took the Stranger Things title off of it, I would - I'm just so, so excited about it. It is not what, I don't think anyone's gonna be thinking. It's gonna be different than what anyone's expecting."
That’s not wholly true as Mike actor Finn Wolfhard has already guessed the focus of the spin-off. Ross explained, “Finn Wolfhard [stumbled across the idea], he wasn't spitballing, 'Is it this? Is it this?' He just goes, 'I think this would be a cool spinoff.' We were like, 'How in the world...?'” Stranger Things is pretty thorough when it comes to utilising each character within the story so I’m curious to see where a spin-off could go.
