What’s better than one free game? That’s right, six of them. It feels like Steam has been constantly throwing free games and demos at its users lately, and we just got a handful more to download and keep, with no catch.
Highlighted by Twitter account @SteamGamesPC, the following titles are all free to claim and keep right now. Admittedly, none of these are huge, popular games that you’ll have been itching to play, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not worth checking out.
Additional to these six games, you can currently check out the free demo for the promising Metroidvania title, Ebenezer and The Invisible World. Take a look at the trailer below.
First up, 1v1.LOL is a battle royale game that looks quite a lot like a low-poly version of Fortnite. The art style is actually rather charming, but it’s hard to tell from the trailer if the gameplay itself will run as smoothly as Epic Games’ title. You can try it out for yourself here.

Next, Attic Panic is a multiplayer rogue-lite shooter in which you play as a possessed toy (controlled by a “sinister Lovecraftian beast”) and battle it out in a dusty attic, gathering upgrades along the way. This one genuinely looks like a lot of fun, and it only just released this month. Check it out here.
Burger Zombies is a top-down shooter which has you delivering burgers in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, finally answering the question we've all been asking, ‘What would happen if Burger King was still available in The Last of Us?’ The endless free roam mode allows you to fight for survival for as long as possible as the horde of zombies continues to grow. You can find the game here.
Pure Sniper is a shooting game with two main modes - a “massive campaign mode”, and a PvP combat mode. There’s a variety of different guns to try out, as well as a number of other gameplay modes to keep things interesting. Take a look at it here.
If you fancy something a bit spookier, the horror title Sparky Marky might be your thing. Set in an abandoned children’s camp, you’ll have to uncover clues about the story while avoiding the monstrous mascot character, Sparky. I’ll be honest, he doesn’t look very scary to me, but maybe it’s different when you know he’s chasing you. You can find the first two episodes of the game for free, here.

Last but not least, Taxi Copter is a charming pixel art platform game which puts the player into the shoes of a helicopter taxi pilot. You’ll have to do your best to avoid all obstacles (including pigeons) as you take customers to their destinations. You can download it from its store page, here.
Whew, that was a lot - if you’ve been stuck for something new to play, there’s plenty to go at there. And if none of those take your fancy, why not check out some free demos for a bunch of upcoming games, instead?
