Despite only being released a few short weeks ago, Starfield has taken the Xbox community by storm and it seems to be the console exclusive that the platform needed.
Other than being available on Xbox Series X|S, Starfield is also available on PC. However, with Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media now being a Microsoft-owned company, there’s little to no chance that it will one day be released on PlayStation 5. Yet, there is another.

In a somewhat unexpected turn of events, Starfield is coming to another console, well, kind of. Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming to Meta Quest 3 this December. Just a side note, Meta Quest 3 launches on 10 October. It’s also worth mentioning that Xbox Cloud Gaming on Meta Quest 3 will only be available to those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

As a result of Xbox Cloud Gaming coming to Meta Quest 3, it means titles such as Starfield will soon be playable on the device in glorious VR. The news of Starfield soon being playable on Meta Quest 3 was teased in a tweet that featured a short clip that also included Halo Infinite and the mention of the upcoming Forza Motorsport reboot. However, I fear intergalactic space and car travel will only make me puke in virtual reality. Lovely.
When Meta Quest 3 releases in just over a week from now, it will be priced at £479.99/$499.99 USD for the 128GB model and £619.99/$649.99 for the 512GB model. It’s a good thing that the likes of Starfield, Halo Infinite and Forza Motorsport are cloud-based on VR headsets because those storage spaces would be consumed instantly.
In our review of Starfield, we said: “Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout. The journey you embark on will dazzle you, and I have no doubt that players will be gripped for months, perhaps even years to come. Here is a playground where you can be whoever you want to be. I simply cannot stop thinking about Starfield and the wondrous secrets it still holds. Bethesda, I have one word: bravo.”
Starfield is available now on PC and Xbox Series X|S, it is also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
