One of 2025’s most adorable looking upcoming games looks like an incredibly cute mix between Studio Ghibli and Stardew Valley, and I think it’s pretty fair to say that the artists behind this one deserve a pay rise.
Hotel Galactic is a self-described “cozy management game” from developers Ancient Forge, who are probably best known for their 2022 city-building management game The Tenants.
Their new game definitely looks like a considerable step up from their previous work however, which is probably how it managed to snag over £140,000 for its Kickstarter campaign (which ended on July 30 last year).

The aim of the game in Hotel Galactic is to "transform a rundown intergalactic hotel into a thriving tourist destination" by customising your hotel in line with your guest's recommendations.
If that doesn’t sound quite Studio Ghibli enough for you, then this is probably a good time to mention that your hotel “sits on a magical, floating island drifting through the vast expanse of space.” Honestly, that line alone sells me on the experience.
No exact release date for this one yet, although both the Steam page and the Kickstarter campaign promise that the game will be landing sometime in 2025.
The devs have also confirmed that a demo is hitting Steam on March 6 though, so you only have just over a week to wait until you can at least try the game out for yourself.

If you can’t wait until then however, I highly suggest checking out this lengthy gameplay-focused video from YouTuber Cozy Tea Games.
And don't worry that you can only currently wishlist this one on Steam, because the developers have also confirmed that PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch ports are inbound (although these will assumedly land after the Steam version does).
