Despite Stardew Valley recently getting a long-awaited update, you can never have too much of the farming simulator. That’s why an expansive mod by one creator is something we have all been waiting for.
Everybody’s favourite farm-simulation game Stardew Valley recently got its 1.6 update which saw a brand new mode added to the game. Not only did it come with said mode but the free update also included the ability to eat mayonnaise, new festivals, craft recipes, a new type of farm and more.

Additionally, developer ConcernedApe also added increased modder support for the game’s dedicated modding community. That feature has no doubt been helpful to such creators as FlashShifter over on Nexus Mods who has created the ‘Stardew Valley Expanded’ mod.

Recently updated to work with the 1.6 update, the Expanded mod does exactly what it says on the tin - greatly expands the world and features of Stardew Valley. It includes: “27 new NPCs, 50 locations, 260 character events, 27 fish, reimagined vanilla areas, two farm maps, a reimagined world map reflecting all changes, new music, questlines, objects, crops, festivals, and many miscellaneous additions!” So yeah, pretty expansive!
“The world of Stardew Valley is awe-inspiring. Relationships, farming, fishing, adventuring...All made by just one person, who has given us the gift of so many memories with this game,” writes the mod creator. “But the problem with memories is that we'll never experience that world for the first time again.
I aim to give you, the player, that sense of adventure and the unknown once more. Through this mod, I want to immerse you in the world ConcernedApe created.”
Remaining true to the source material and available to download and add to your game for free, this Stardew Valley Expanded mod is guaranteed to add hours more fun to the already award-winning farm-simulator.
