Star Wars Outlaws players urged to immediately change one setting to fix the game

Star Wars Outlaws players urged to immediately change one setting to fix the game

Upgrade your gameplay experience

Just as expected, Star Wars Outlaws discourse is already in full swing.

In case you missed it, the game’s reviews dropped yesterday with the Ubisoft title garnering a respectable (but discussion prompting) 77.

Reviewers praised the level of detail in the game’s open world, but criticised the limitations of the combat, adding that the game was far too riddled with bugs.

Of course, I’m imagining that devs will rectify as many of these as possible with a day one patch but even still, it’s never ideal to see.

If you’ve pre-ordered the Gold or Ultimate edition of the game, early access kicks off today, on 27 August.

Everybody else will have to wait until 30 August, but that’s only a few days away.

You may have noticed that there’s not a review of Star Wars Outlaws currently available on GAMINGbible.

Review codes were distributed fairly close to the game’s embargo so we’ve decided to take our time, to give you a well-rounded and considered review.

That being said, you should see our review appear very soon.

Take a look at Star Wars Outlaws in action below.

In the meantime, allow me to impart a tip upon you shared by one early access player that could improve your gameplay experience.

One Reddit user has taken to the site to share a fix to, what I’m presuming will be, a common gripe.

“My biggest gripe with the game has been having to click the right stick to interact with stuff,” wrote LivingwithED.

They recommend that you go into the game’s settings to locate the button controls. Here, you can select ‘Alternate’.

LivingwithED, as an Xbox user, notes, “The alternate controls swap Interact to X and Melee to the right stick.”

This is reportedly much easier. Of course, this hack should also work on other console controller’s like the PlayStation 5 DualSense.

“This is a great tip. I quickly got used to the default settings, but it just never felt right. It's much more enjoyable now, thank you,” one player has replied already.

It definitely sounds like a tip well worth bearing in mind.
