What do you get if you combine Skyrim and Stardew Valley? That’s not a set-up for some elaborate joke, it’s the vibes we’re getting from this new fantasy game.
That’s kind of a match made in heaven - combining the medieval styling of The Elder Scrolls with the engaging gameplay of a farming or management sim.

Ultimately, this is a city-building sim, where your only limit is your imagination.
The game’s synopsis notes that players will, “Manage resources, plan vibrant districts in accordance with your citizens' needs, and build a thriving city you'll be proud of!”
One look at the visual design here has us thinking of a more cosy version of Skyrim - without the dangerous dragons and many dungeons brimming with peril.
Sprawling villages and towns sweep across the landscapes, with odd castles and more epic buildings dotting your cities.

While you won’t be wandering around sowing seeds or harvesting crops, there’s some major Stardew Valley appeal here.
Being able to get hands-on and manage the smaller details of a burgeoning kingdom will appeal to fans of the genre that Stardew Valley leads, and I can imagine that cosy game fans will flock to this one.
A nice relaxed pace combined with deep strategy will have many of us up until the early hours of the morning, mainlining the best ways to create a utopian kingdom, is calling us.
Advisors will guide your path, while an organic build system helps you physically shape the design of the kingdom.

It seems a fair few accessibility options will be included to get players started, while genre fans will be able to get stuck in, right away.
There’s a free demo available if you want to give the game a try before it enters early access on 22 May.
