The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has a neat trick you can pull-off in Riften of all places, and it’s lore accurate.
You wouldn’t peg Skyrim as a game full of minor details especially with the quality of RPGs we have today, we’ve been spoiled and in many ways Skyrim is a thing of the past despite its popularity.
Pretty soon The Elder Scrolls VI will be all the rage, we do wish Bethesda would speed up a bit though as this teaser trailer is getting old
Skyrim still has legs though, and even when The Elder Scrolls VI is out I’m sure its predecessor will still have plenty of fans, especially on PC where mods are still keeping the game fresh and interesting.

Speaking of interesting, one player recently discovered a trick in Riften that’ll see NPCs fight each other when you drop something valuable in the street.
Anyone who’s played Skyrim will likely know that Riften is the home to the Thieves Guild, and as such it’s rife with criminals and pickpockets.
Reddit user TheKiller777666333 shared a video of them dropping something valuable into the crowd and like any good opportunist would, some NPCs tried to grab what was dropped, only to get into a scrap before the player’s very eyes.
One commenter drew a comparison to Mos Eisley, a city in Star Wars with a reputation for crime. They said "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy"

Turns out there are other places in the game where you can do this too, as one commenter said “I think it was Whistling Mine where I dropped a piece of gold ore and the miners fought over it until only one was left.”
It’s a neat feature, and one that’s very fitting of Riften given how it’s full of thieves. Hopefully The Elder Scrolls VI has a similar level of environmental storytelling.
