It may have been over a decade since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was first released but thanks to its expansive open-world, fans are still uncovering secrets to this day.

Praised for its bustling open-world, hilarious moments (some scripted, some not) and engaging gameplay, it is no wonder that fans are still returning over ten-years on.

Although Skyrim has gone on to receive thousands of mods over the years, sometimes you just can’t beat the secrets the Bethesda title already has to offer.
That is why one player took to r/skyrim to ask fellow fans what the “single most obscure/hidden/least known thing in Skyrim is”.
It wasn’t long before the comments filled up with recommendations ranging from a clam harvesting camp, “The Chill, out in the sea of ghosts” and the Ebony Blade artifact.
However, one player not only drew attention to the “dead body cleanup room”, aka the place where all dead NPCs go rather than their hopes to go to Sovengarde, but also a location featuring four hidden map markers.

According to them, Solstheim is the home to four hidden peaks that reveal markers on the map only when you get close to them.
As a result, you will have to climb to the very top, which is both risky and time-consuming, but very much worth it if you want to see something that is easily missed on a standard playthrough.
“Since the map marker/indicator only appears when you reach the top you will never realize they are there by default. I discovered one by coincidence as I tried a short cut,” they shared.
One player replied to this saying that they had “played [Skyrim] 1000s of hours and I never knew that.”
