I don’t think that anyone is looking forward to The Elder Scrolls VI more so than the aptly-titled Skyrim Grandma.
It’s no secret that Shirley Curry is one of Bethesda’s biggest fans, sharing her love of the studio over on YouTube. In fact, just last year, Curry passed the major milestone of reaching 1,000,000 subscribers. That being said, she has expressed an inkling of dissatisfaction in recent years, admitting that she’d replayed Skyrim so many times over the years that she was “finally starting to get a little bit bored with it”. Unfortunately for Curry, Bethesda’s next release would be the space epic Starfield, something she said she was “too angry” to play, as she eagerly awaited The Elder Scrolls VI.
Take a look at some of our favourite Starfield wins and fails below.
Curry has even gone as far as expressing that she’s keen to play The Elder Scrolls VI before she dies. This is an incredibly sad thought, but you can understand Curry’s concern. Game development cycles are getting longer and longer, with Starfield itself dubbed as being ‘25 years in the making’. Last year, Curry was very frank with fans: “I want to play it before I die”.

You’ll be thrilled to know that Curry is still active on YouTube, despite craving Bethesda’s next release. Over the last couple of weeks, Curry has been embarking on a fresh run of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition which continues to unfold now.
She’s also asked followers whether she should try playing Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, an indie release that I’d say is well-suited to fans of Skyrim. It’s certainly not The Elder Scrolls VI but Bethesda does need time to cook, plus I’m imagining that Starfield post-launch support will remain a key focus for the studio.
