Fans of the legend of King Arthur have an exciting year ahead with the upcoming release of King Arthur: Legion IX which continues on with the story from the 2022 tactical RPG King Arthur: Knight's Tale.
King Arthur: Knight's Tale was a dark fantasy retelling of the Arthurian legend which saw players take on the role of Mordred, the nemesis of the King. After killing King Arthur, he managed to take you down with him in his dying breath and so the two of you died. Or did you? After being brought back by the Lady of the Lake, Mordred is tasked with truly killing Arthur once and for all.

Now almost two years on from its release, Neocore Games are back with King Arthur: Legion IX, an expansion which is set to provide new heroes, foes and combat mechanics to the RPG.

Set for launch in early 2024, King Arthur: Legion IX will feature a brand-new protagonist who must prepare the Legion for an invasion all whilst uncovering the remains of a Roman colony on Avalon.
“In the “Legion IX” expansion, the kingdom of Avalon is facing an all-new threat, as the Roman Ninth Legion has discovered a path to the mystical island, and is preparing an invasion,” reads the official synopsis. “Players will experience the brand new Roman campaign through the eyes of a tribune of the Ninth Legion, and they will uncover the remains of a Roman colony in Avalon and reveal the hidden secrets of the Lady of the Lake.”
You can check out the cinematic reveal trailer here and if you are yet to play King Arthur: Knight's Tale, it is available on PC. Additionally, it is set to come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2024.
