Open-World RPG 'Honor Of Kings: World' Looks Jaw-Droppingly Beautiful

The Chinese RPG already looks incredible.

Honestly, who doesn’t love a gorgeous RPG to explore every once in a while? Some of us live for those gaming experiences that lose us fully in the worlds of old, mysticism, and legend. And it looks like upcoming open-world game Honor of Kings: World could fit that slot in people’s lives. It’s stunning.

As reported by Push Square, upcoming Chinese RPG Honor of Kings: World has had a trailer released and picked up by Gamatsu. And what can we say except it already looks pretty great. The visuals are breathtaking in the first cutscenes we see before they follow through with some dynamic and colourful gameplay. If you’re into games like Monster Hunter or even perhaps the newer Genshin Impact, this could be right up your street.

Here is the trailer for Honor of Kings: World...

The game is developed by TiMi Studios ad is a spin-off of the hugely popular MOBA title, Honor of Kings. If your ears are perking up at the developer's name (or, I guess, eyes are lighting up, these being words? Anyway...) it’s likely because that’s the team that recently released Pokémon: Unite, the MOBA variation of the pocket monsters. That’s already been a huge success, and now its got its eyes set on a full RPG too.

Timi Studios is actually a subsidiary of Tencent, so that’s why the production value of this project already looks so high. Tencent has a stake in a huge portion of the gaming industry - from Riot Games to Activision Blizzard King to Epic Games, if there is a large gaming company about, they almost certainly have a connection to it.

Honor of Kings: World currently only has the Chinese trailer for us to look longingly at, and there hasn’t been an announcement of which platforms the game will be hitting yet. From the visuals, it’s almost certainly for new-gen consoles and PC, but that’s just speculation. We’ll be looking out for more information about the project in the future.
