Not-E3 season is basically here now, and even though the massive event we all know and love isn’t happening in the same way as usual this year, there’s still set to be a whole host of announcements from the likes of Sony’s State of Play, Summer Game Fest and the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.
Thanks to that, the internet is predictably very hyped up, and ready to explode like a shaken up can of fizzy pop at the mere whisper of any big titles making an appearance in the coming weeks. With that in mind, please hype responsibly when I tell you that as reported by GamingBolt, one insider has claimed that Rockstar Games are set to hit us with an announcement of their own, very soon.
Before we get into it, be sure to take a look at some of the funniest wins and fails from Red Dead Redemption 2 right here.
These claims come from Rockstar Mag’s Chris Klippel, who’s been known for dishing out insider info on GTA VI in the past (although obviously, we can’t prove if any of that is true yet, given how little we know about the game). Anyway, Klippel stated in a tweet yesterday that the studio are preparing to give us some information on a completely new project.

“Obviously, an announcement is [being prepared]. I don't know yet when, or what it will concern, but it would be ‘a new project’. It [could] happen relatively quickly,” the tweet reads (as translated by Google).
So, this isn’t GTA VI then. As far as what it could be, rumours of a sequel to Bully have been floating around for what feels like forever now, so that’d be one option. Otherwise, it was recently claimed that both a new-gen port of Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as a remake of its predecessor, could be in the works. As none of these have been officially confirmed, they’re all viable options, but as always, do take these unofficial claims with a generous pinch of salt.
