The festive season is in full swing and whether you celebrate Christmas or not, our favourite games definitely do and as a result, heaps of freebies are currently up for grabs.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely no exception as its online component, Red Dead Online, has been offering its player base the chance to grab some exciting in-game goodies throughout November and December.

Check out the trailer for Red Dead Online below!

As part of its Call to Arms event, Rockstar had the following to say:

“Snow blankets the rugged landscapes and winding trails — starting with a gentle dusting before building into sweeping, swirling snowfall. Expect holiday cheer in abundance across the frontier with festive lights, tree decorations, and more.”

Kicking off on 3 December, Red Dead Online players have been able to earn a series of cosmetics, boosts and decorations in order to celebrate the Christmas season in style.

With the event scheduled to end on 6 January, there are still some more freebies to be handed out and this week, 24 December to the 30, is no exception.

As part of its weekly and monthly rewards element, Rockstar is rewarding players with the Citadel Rock Treasure Map if they manage to complete three Role Challenges during this time.

As you can expect, the Citadel Rock Treasure Map does what the majority of treasure maps do by pointing out some interesting locations around Red Dead Redemption 2’s expansive map.

Heading to these areas could see you find some limited-time items so it is definitely worth putting the time into completing those Role Challenges.

The Merry Call to Arms event comes to a close next month but as well as the treasure map, there is one more thing to earn.

Kicking off on 31 December and running until 6 January, players can earn an offer for 50% off a Double Bandolier by reaching wave 5 in the Merry Calls to Arms event.

So in between eating your turkey and opening presents, make sure to log in to Red Dead Online and claim your rewards this week.
