Red Dead Redemption 2 fans finally have a reason to smile thanks to a bevy of new content that should keep you more or less tided over until... well, it probably won't keep you busy for that long, to be honest.
While Red Dead Redemption 2 released over five years ago now, Red Dead Online is still being supported by the development team. Just about.
Now, a new set of events has been announced for the game that gives access to a whole host of new rewards and some free items for fans. It's not exactly Red Dead Redemption 3, but it's something.

The events in question will be taking place over the next month, and contain four separate major events that aren't directly tied to a set of missions:
- June 4-10: Black Plaid Cap
- June 11-17: An Offer for 40% off a Stable slot
- June 18-24: Red Salter Shoes
- June 25-July 1: Offer for 50% off a vest
Extra rewards will also be available in some of the missions that are dotted around the open world, and will help lower-level players to quickly level up in Red Dead Online.
"Assist Jessica LeClerk and Horley in A Land of Opportunities as they seek vengeance against the men who dispatched Mrs. LeClerk's husband. These multi-part, story-based cooperative missions for two to four players can vary depending on your choices, and are awarding 2x Gold, RDO$ and XP through July 1," the official press release states.

There's even rewards for fans who simply log into their account and load up the game at some point before July 1, with an Oregano Mutton, Hawkmoth Bola and two potent snake oils up for grabs. There's seven different items of clothing that can be claimed completely for free, and by ranking up five times players will be received the brown Cardozo Vest.
The final major event for fans is part of the Call to Arms set of missions in which you protect against waves of incoming enemies and see how long you can survive for to gain various rewards. Taking part in this will earn 2x RDO$ and XP, similar to the Land of Opportunities bonuses.
