Red Dead Redemption 2 ranks as one of the greatest games ever made, in spite of the entire story experience being a sequence of tragedies.
Though, it is arguable that the quiet moments of Red Dead Redemption 2 become even more beautiful in contrast to the constant struggle for peace. Indeed, a second playthrough of the game is almost impossible, not owing to any new features or mechanics, but for the knowledge of what's yet to happen to these cherished characters. Yet, Dutch was already struck by bad luck before the player steps into the shoes of Arthur Morgan, having had to abandon a life-changing amount of cheddar after a robbery spiralled out of control.
Time for a palate cleanser - check out a compilation of wins and fails from Red Dead Redemption 2:
The Blackwater Massacre, as it comes to be referred to, led to the loss of $150,000 from the ferry that the gang targeted. Due to the arrival of Pinkertons and police to the area, the heist went wrong swiftly, causing Davey Callander and Jenny Kirk to be killed. John Marston and Mac Callander were seriously injured, with the latter eventually succumbing to his wounds, Sean MacGuire was captured by bounty hunters, and apparently Dutch shot an innocent woman in the head. The sum had to be hidden with the location only known to Dutch and Hosea Matthews as the gang escaped to the mountains to evade the law enforcement.

Obviously, the stash was never recovered, becoming one more mistake that Dutch had to answer for. A fan who was curious over how $150,000 is converted to today's money did a little digging and this in fact turns into an immense $5.4 million that is literally just lying there until some metal prospectors stumble upon it.
"For 5 million me and the boys would of burned Blackwater to the ground," said one. Well, it's lucky that the town is fictional. "With that they could have BOUGHT Tahiti," grumbled another player.
