Pokémon fans losing it over surprise new Gold and Silver release

Why did this reveal come AFTER the Pokémon Presents?

Pokémon fans are going crazy for the latest Gold and Silver releases– but not the good kind of crazy. As in, they’re actively kind of annoyed.

Now, you might already be confused as to what I am on about here, because we just had a new Pokémon Presents mere days ago, and there certainly wasn’t anything Generation II related in the whole thing.

Well, I guess The Pokémon Company just enjoys keeping us on our toes, because they decided to drop this new reveal yesterday. Y’know, a whole day afterwards… for some reason.

As revealed on the official Pokémon TCG Pocket Twitter account, the brand new Wisdom of Sea and Sky update will be coming to the game on July 30th, and it’s bringing along all of your favourite Generation II ‘Mons with it.

That sounds like great news, right? New cards and a new event, featuring probably the most beloved generation of Pokémon ever, so why are people mad?

According to the comments, that’s mostly to do with the fact that they think Pokémon TCG Pocket is releasing events too frequently, in an attempt to get people to spend more money in fear of missing out on limited-time content.

“Slow the hell down man. How can i get them all at this speed?” commented user @stargateheaven.

“F**k you and your greed, one expansión a month is diabolical, uninstalled and never playing again, it's impossible to keep up, imagine being a new player”, replied user @LarryRohan9.

“Since October, this included will be 9 sets you guys have released. You guys are turning off so many people releasing once a month!” commented user @SupuhMario.

Can’t say I remember the last time I saw people complaining about having too much content in a game, but I do understand the sentiment.

Here’s hoping the Pokémon TCG Pocket devs maybe slow down a touch after this update.
