PlayStation Plus best free games ever hailed by fans as a genuine 10/10

PlayStation fans have taken to Reddit to talk about their favourite games that have been on the PlayStation Plus subscriptions service.

In a post uploaded to the r/PlayStation Plus thread, players were asked the “top 5 best free monthly games you’ve gotten from the PS Plus Essential?” With the subscription service first launching in 2010, thousands of games have been available for members over the years. However, it wasn’t long before gamers were replying to the thread with their answers.

Both the original poster and many commenters agreed that Deep Stone Galactic deserves to make the list. The co-op FPS was released in 2020 and allows players to cause destruction alongside ‘badass space Dwarves’ and ‘endless hordes of alien monsters’. With the game’s version of “Live Long and Prosper” being “Rock and stone!”, you only have to take one look at the PlayStation thread to see how loved Deep Stone Galactic is.

Another common answer is Rocket League with many saying it was an “epic freebie” back when it was first released on PlayStation Plus. Since then it has become a free game for all players but when it was first released in 2015, many relied on the PS Plus service to play. The vehicular soccer game is still as popular today as it was when it first launched.

Some other notable mentions are Hell Let Loose, Fall Guys, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Mafia Definitive Edition. With many games heading to both PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass being day one releases, such as Starfield, it’s not surprising that 2.1 million people are subscribing across the UK.

With a large list of PS Plus games being rated as a 10/10 by players, it seems Sony knows exactly what its fans want. Here’s hoping this trend continues on into the future.
