PlayStation Plus free game hailed as best open world ever by fans

PlayStation Plus free game hailed as best open world ever by fans

A well-deserved title

One of PlayStation Plus’ recent additions is quite possibly the greatest open world game of all time, and the fans know it.

PlayStation Plus has plenty of bangers at the moment, and more and more keep getting added, especially the recent addition of PlayStation 2 games to the Premium tier.

Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree is out now! Check out our video review of the expansion below.

However we’re not talking about retro titles today, instead we’re talking about one of the best games ever made, and how you can play it at no additional cost on PlayStation Plus right now.

That game is Red Dead Redemption 2, the best work Rockstar Games has done to date until GTA VI comes out, and even then it’ll be a tough act to follow.

You can play the whole thing from start to finish right now as long as you have an active subscription to PlayStation Plus, and fans are overjoyed to see it available to a wider number of people.

In a Reddit thread talking about the game, it was named “the best open world game of all time,” an impressive title but one that’s well deserved. Almost every square-inch of Red Dead Redemption 2’s world has been carefully crafted to be one of the most realistic games going, and it feels like there’s always something new to see even on your umpteenth playthrough.

One player said, “Agreed. Five years and not other game even came close.”

Another followed up by saying, “In terms of interaction and immersion, there is no equal.”

Finally, one user said, “I’ve played pretty much every open world game since it’s my favourite genre and RDR2 is the main one that I go back to every time. The world feels so alive and even after like five playthroughs, it still feels fresh.”

If you’re one of the few people to not play Red Dead Redemption 2 yet and you own a PlayStation, I’d urge you to fix that and try the game for yourself with PlayStation Plus right now.
