There is no such thing as a free lunch, unless Sony is catering, and this latest boon is perfect for completing your backlog of games from 2022. And the best part is that there's no need for a PlayStation Plus subscription to claim this.
For those who are subscribed to PlayStation Plus, the Essential tier goodies are Mafia: Definitive Edition, OlliOlli World, Evil Dead: The Game and Destiny 2: Beyond Light. We'll mention this now so you remember to bag them in well enough time, and if you're in Asia, there's actually another game available for free. Not too shabby.
This current offer is also cross-generation so those who haven't had the upgrade to PlayStation 5 won't be missing out. On that topic, Sony is a lot more optimistic about PS5 stock levels now that the supply and transit issues are resolved. “Everyone who wants a PS5 should have a much easier time finding one at retailers globally, starting from this point forward,” said PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan in the company's CES 2023 presentation.

So, Push Square is reporting that PlayStation Network users are receiving 10% discount codes in the PlayStation App inbox. I can't confirm this for you as I've apparently not been included, however, the discount code applies to every single item in the player's cart on the PlayStation Store. Ergo, if you'd missed out on heavy hitters like God Of War Ragnarök, Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us Part I, FIFA 23 and more, this is a fortunate opportunity to shave something off their prices.
Furthermore, it isn't possible to share the codes with your friends and family as each discount is unique to the user. It's uncertain which parameters Sony is using to divvy out these codes, but best to keep a weather eye out anyway. The codes must be used within the month else they'll expire as soon as the clock strikes midnight on the 1 March.
