The mid-generation update for the current PlayStation 5 is expected to (hopefully) offer an upgrade on the current hardware and new rumours seemingly support that claim.

According to a report from PlayStation Universe, the PS5 Pro is expected to revolutionise the console industry.
More specifically, it is expected to include 2TB of storage capacity and will run a lot smoother and quietly (no more plane engines).
This comes after Moore’s Law Is Dead reportedly saw the development kits for the new hardware.
It goes without saying but 2TB of storage will be a significant improvement, especially for players who wish to store multiple high-performance titles.

Additionally, better thermal management will make the Pro run a lot quieter and will make it less prone to overheating during long gaming sessions.
Previous rumours have also revealed that the PS5 Pro will also feature double the amount of the SSD than the base PlayStation 5.
This means it will go above and beyond the current 825GB.
As for a release date, it has not yet been confirmed by Sony but MORE rumours hint at a potential late 2024 release.

If that is to be believed, there are only a few months left to wait until we see how much of an improvement this piece of hardware will be.
In related news, the design for the PlayStation 5 Pro leaked online yesterday and it is set to be a thing of beauty.
