We live in a time when creative bankruptcy is becoming prevalent, with techbros singing the praises of computer programs that steal ideas from genuine creatives, to make money by force-feeding us the slop that gets crapped out by their AI beloveds.
It’s slowly taking hold of the gaming industry, with some looking to make a quick buck by churning out rubbish, shoving it onto the Xbox store or Nintendo eShop, and hoping folk part with their money.
Railbreak: Arcade Blues Collection, has caught the attention of many, not for its gameplay, which is reportedly not that great, but for its AI art advertising the game on the Xbox store.

I’ll never understand how a creative team that has gone through all the rigmarole of building an entire game ends up using some AI slop as the thumbnail for their game.
Not only does it take away all credibility for your game, but it makes it look like a Roblox knock-off that you’re charging £55 for.
This was spotted by Redditors, and they didn’t hold back.
“The developer thought it would be a good idea to use AI for their covers, and does not do a good job of covering that fact at all. I wanna see what the game has to offer, but I'm not gonna spend my money on this obvious cash grab,” said the creator of the Reddit thread.

According to players, this collection of games gets often rebranded, releasing the same games over and over, to stay relevant.
“They rename and repurpose this collection almost weekly in the Xbox store… Drives me nuts... Xbox needs to crack down on this,” points out ErmannoRavioli.
“WTH…those games aren’t even worth €1, let alone €80, said another Xbox player.
Another user makes it clear how they feel, saying, “88.4 GB of slop, at that.”
