Get to play one of 2025’s biggest games early

Xbox gamers will soon be able to play one of the most highly anticipated RPGs of 2025.

Earlier this year, Capcom announced that the next entry in its popular multiplayer RPG series is on the way with Monster Hunter Wilds. The Monster Hunter series has been around for over 20 years, yet, it seems to be more popular than ever.

Check out the Monster Hunter Wilds trailer below.

No doubt, Capcom will be hoping that Monster Hunter Wilds will continue the series’ upward trajectory, welcoming both new and returning players. That being said, if you want to get a sample of the upcoming RPG and help shape its full release, then you’ll want to take part in its free multiplayer beta.

“The unbridled force of nature runs wild and relentless, with environments transforming drastically from one moment to the next. This is a story of monsters and humans and their struggles to live in harmony in a world of duality,” reads the description of Monster Hunter Wilds.

This week, Capcom announced that the open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds begins on 28 October for those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus. Then PC and Xbox gamers will be able to join the fun on 31 October, until the beta concludes for everyone on 3 November.

After the early access for PS Plus members, no subscription is required to access the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta, which includes Xbox Game Pass. During the beta, players will have access to character creation and then be able to port their characters into the full game.

Players will also have access to a story trial as well as a Doshaguma Hunt. It will feature crossplay for all available platforms.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on 25 February 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
