One well-regarded leaker has seemingly uncovered some specific details about a new piece of Xbox hardware, and it sounds like Microsoft is taking some heavy inspiration from the PlayStation 5 this time around.
Thank you in advance to Comicbook's Marc Deschamps for the original article (per eXtas1s).
According to a recent report by leaker eXtas1s, Microsoft is cooking up a new Xbox peripheral that seems to have an awful lot in common with the PlayStation 5’s Dualsense controller.

According to eXtas1s, the data was (somehow) unearthed from the servers of Microsoft’s xCloud gaming service. It will supposedly feature haptic feedback (much like the PlayStation 5 DualSense), a rechargeable battery and you’ll be able to use some kind of "gesture" that will wake up the controller when it is switched off.
I did a little digging on that last bit and I’m just as confused as I was before I started looking into it, but assumedly by a “gesture” they mean you can shake it to turn it on? Your guess is as good as mine.
Now, nothing has been confirmed at this point, and I can’t directly verify that this data actually came from Microsoft’s xCloud servers (as the leaks state), but it does line up with a lot of previous statements made by Microsoft.
As Comicbook’s Marc Deschamps notes, Microsoft has been waffling about a DualSense-esque Xbox controller for a while.

“I applaud what they did with that controller..." CEO of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer stated in an interview back in 2020.
“I think for all of us in the industry, we should learn from each other and the innovation that we all push on, whether it’s distribution of business model like Game Pass, or controller tech, or the Wii back in the day, which clearly had an impact on us when we went off and did Kinect and Sony did the Move.”
We’ll have to wait for an official statement from Microsoft to know for sure, but I’d say this one is highly likely. Keep your eyes peeled for a reveal at some point in the next couple of months.
