We’re all very much aware of the fact that gaming is an expensive hobby which is why I’m going to, once again, urge you to make the most out of your respective console’s rewards programme. If you can use your purchases to earn money back or complete simple tasks in exchange for free credit, why wouldn’t you?
Microsoft Rewards is one of the best rewards services out there. Did you know you can in fact redeem your points for a $100 gift card if you save hard enough? Think of all the games you could buy just by completing simple, mundane tasks or allowing your regular spends to accrue. It’s not just store credit that you can bag. You can also exchange your points for a Game Pass membership, sweepstake entries, hardware including controllers and consoles, or you can do an act of good and donate money to charity.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to launch on Xbox and PC later this year. Take a look at the game in action below.
If you’re sitting there thinking, ‘How do I go about getting one of those $100 gift cards?’, well there are a number of ways to rack up points. You’ll earn 20 points per dollar spent on digital purchases at the Microsoft Store. If you have Game Pass, you also earn daily points by completing a series of constantly refreshed quests. You can even earn points for searching on Bing and browsing on Microsoft Edge. Of course, you’ll need to be signed into your account for these actions to track.

Your points will soon mount up. It might take you a while to get enough points for a $100 gift card, but you’ll be able to unlock some of the lesser rewards before long. Reddit user evanmckee took to the site to share that he’s almost hit the $100 gift card benchmark after accruing over 80,000 rewards points. The user noted that he’s been saving for around three years, with the gift card due to unlock when he reaches 95,000.
Unfortunately, this has just gone up from 91,000 points so it is slightly harder to nab the credit than it was but still, it’s there for the taking. Make sure you’re making the most out of the programme.
