New evidence suggests two of the greatest RPGs ever made will find their way onto Xbox Game Pass very soon.
If you’re one of the many Baldur’s Gate fans waiting for the chance to play the series on Xbox, we’ve got good news, the first two games will soon be added to the ever-expanding Xbox Game Pass library.

The official release of Baldur’s Gate III is imminent, with the title hours away from launching on PC. PlayStation users will also get to play the game but will have to wait until September for their version to drop. While an Xbox port is also on the way, the game’s developer Larian Studios doesn’t have a release date to share as of yet, much to the dismay of fans. Console users should probably clear some space on their hard drive though, since the game has a stupidly big install size.

Luckily, every cloud has a silver lining, as it was recently revealed Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II will be added to Xbox Game Pass, which should keep fans occupied until the third game arrives on the system.
The news was revealed by Twitter user IdleSloth84, who shared leaked images of a notification announcing the new additions to the subscription service.
While IdleSloth84 is known to have a good track record when it comes to Xbox leaks, the news hasn’t been officially confirmed by Xbox or Microsoft at the time of writing, so take it with a helping of salt. That being said, Xbox has been continuously pushing for more games on Xbox Game Pass, including games for PC users, so it’d only make sense to add two of the most celebrated RPGs to the mix.
The first two Baldur’s Gate games would make fine additions to the Game Pass collection and will give Xbox fans a small taste of what to expect when their version of the game inevitably arrives.
