Perfect way to spend Halloween

Tomorrow is officially Halloween and you know what that means?

No, not getting dressed up and bobbing for apples. It means settling down with a spooky game and scaring the hell out of yourself in the name of fun.

Check out the reveal trailer for Inscryption below!

Luckily, Microsoft has you covered with the Xbox Game Pass offering you multiple horror games to download at no extra cost right now.

We at GAMINGbible already have you covered here with a list of ten Xbox Game Pass horror titles with something for everyone.

However, Game Pass subscribers across social media are warning players not to sleep on an underrated banger.

It may not be the biggest game on the list but it is by no means the least intense and that is Inscryption.

Developed by Daniel Mullins Games, Inscyption is a roguelike deck-building game with a horror twist.

First released back in 2021, it went on to be nominated for multiple awards and was praised for its fun gameplay and psychological horror aspects.

Now free for subscribers, a top post over on r/XboxGamePass has recently been showing the love for the indie title.

“Play Inscryption, don’t sleep on this great and unique game,” the post reads.

“That is all!”

What follows is almost 100 comments praising the unique horror game and calling other subscribers to grab it before it heads back to full price.

“I’ve never been into deck-builder type games but the delivery of this one just was just so good,” one comment read.

“The horror, the mystery, the gameplay. Loved it!”

A fellow fan said: “Same here. I normally do not like trading card/deck-building games, but the setup and “world building” was unique enough.”

So if you are on the lookout for a horror game ahead of Halloween but want something a bit different, Inscryption is not one to leave in the dark.
