You won't want to miss these

Xbox users are being treated to 10 free games this weekend, only playable for a limited time so don’t miss out.

The freebies we’re going to discuss are a bit of mixed back, as in you need a valid subscription to Xbox Game Pass to play some of them, but not others.

Have you played Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 yet? You should, it’s a great time even if you know nothing about Warhammer

This weekend, though it actually kicked off yesterday on 19 September, you’ll be able to play 10 great games at no additional cost.

The games on offer include Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Terraria, Crime Boss: Rockay City, Stray Blade, Miasma Chronicles, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Portal Knights, Ghostrunner 2 and Control.

Now the first eight games will be available for those subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate, though if you don’t have a subscription or cancelled following the last price hike there’s still something for you to enjoy.

Ghostrunner 2 will be playable for a 3-hour trial period, and Control is free-to-play for the entire weekend, no strings attached for either of these titles.

If I had to recommend some titles from this least I’d wholeheartedly recommend Control, especially if you’re an Alan Wake fan, and Terraria is a good one for those looking for a new sandbox-style game.

The only caveat is you’ll have to install these titles to your system to play them, though they shouldn’t take up too much of your hard drive space.

You’ve got until this Sunday, 22 September to give these titles a go, after that you’ll need to either buy them or see which ones are still available via Xbox Game Pass.

Don’t sleep on these freebies though, some of the games listed are underrated bangers that are worth trying.
