Xbox players can pick up a free copy of Starfield when they buy a new Xbox Series X.
Despite some dissatisfaction with its open-world exploration, the latest major Xbox exclusive, Starfield, has performed quite well, bringing in over 10 million players since its launch.
Take a look at our glowing review for Starfield below
Available on Xbox Series X/S and PC, as well as being a free download when you’re subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, players have sunk hundreds of hours into the title already, and while many believe it could do with some improvement, they’re optimistic that post-launch support will make it perfect, similar to what happened with No Man’s Sky.

Now as one of Xbox’s biggest exclusives in years, a spot that used to belong to Halo before it imploded, it encouraged thousands of players to buy a new Xbox console just to play it. This included fans who wanted to upgrade as well as PlayStation players who didn’t want to miss out due to its exclusivity.
If you’re yet to buy an Xbox, and if Starfield is calling out to you from beyond the stars, you’re in luck, as Verizon is currently offering a deal that’ll get you a shiny new Xbox Series X, plus a digital copy of Starfield, at a discounted price.
The offer is only available online but is available to everyone regardless of whether you’re a customer or not. Of course, it’s also only available in the US.
The bundle is usually priced at $570, but is being discounted for $500, which means you’re essentially getting the game for free, so not a bad deal, especially if you want to actually own a copy rather than rent it via Xbox Game Pass.

Target US also have a similar offer, but theirs gives you the option of several games, either Starfield, Diablo IV or Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
So if you’re in the US and fancy a new Xbox plus a copy of Starfield, now might be the perfect time to do so, while you can still take advantage of the discount.
