Ahead of its full release later this month, this upcoming hack-and-slash indie title is available to grab for free right now.
Gori: Cuddly Carnage is an indie title you don’t want to miss out on this year.
With nods to 2002’s platform game Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Gori promises a hack-and-slash adventure as you take on the role of a deadly, badass cat.

“Humanity has been destroyed - and it's up to Gori, along with his deadly but wise-cracking sentient hoverboard, F.R.A.N.K, and morose AI companion, CH1-P, to shred and slay the evil Adorable Army,” the official synopsis reads.
Set to launch on 29 August, Gori: Cuddly Carnage is developed by Angry Demon Studio and promises explosive weaponry and devastating combos as you push your combat and platforming skills to the limit.

As the cute yet deadly Gori, you will fight through twisted landscapes filled with environmental hazards all whilst experiencing an adventure full of razor-sharp adult humour and a pulse-pounding soundtrack.
A free demo for Gori: Cuddly Carnage is available now for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S players courtesy of the Xbox Store.
Despite the game not being fully released yet, it has already received some rave reviews.
One player said: “Good fun! Has a cat in so instant bonus points! Is very much the kind that benefits from a very smooth final polish, so very much looking forward to the finished game. Got a classic but quirky foundation which is sure to be popular.”
