Halo fans might be getting a new release next month, but it’s not one any of them actually wants, can’t say I blame them either.
As a Halo fan myself I’m optimistic for what the future holds for the Halo franchise, especially after 343 Industries rebranded to Halo Studios and released those gorgeous Unreal Engine screenshots…
But here to spoil the fun and remind me that it exists is the Halo TV series, which ran for two seasons and couldn’t have ended sooner
That’s right the Paramount+ Halo show might not be getting a third series but it is getting a re-release on Netflix next month, and I don’t think anyone actually wants it.

The series will become available to netflix subscribers on 1 March, and will presumably include both seasons for ample bingewatching.
As you can imagine when the news hit the Halo community many were saddened to see the series still getting airtime, with one fan saying “they could’ve played all the campaign storylines and it would’ve been better.”
Others reckon they should give it another go with a reboot, one that will “tell the extended lore properly and work into the game storylines … you’ll end up with a good show. I don’t get what’s so hard about that idea.”
“I wrote a paragraph bitching, but decided it was unnecessary. I just wish this show becomes forgotten media. Halo has been just miss after miss lately” said another.

Perhaps we’re being too harsh on the series, as while the first season deserves to be forgotten the second did start to get the idea when it comes to bringing in more stuff from the games and novels.
That said, I don’t want a third season and I don’t think anyone else does either, I think the best bet would be rebooting it with a team who’ve played the games and care about the story/characters.
