That’s why it’s always a treat to see someone beat the game for the first time, because you just know 99% of the time they’ll have loved it from start to finish.

That was the case for Reddit user Originalgametag who shared their thoughts on their Witcher experience in a thread, saying: “Just beat the main story and this was possibly the best story I've ever played in a game. Took 85 hours. Didn't even do half the side missions because I was so captured by the story. To all you playing it now or thinking about it, get ready for the greatest game adventure possibly ever.”
They went on to say: “Amazes me how this game came out years ago but still blows away AAA games coming out today.”
Other fans congratulated Originalgametag on their completed playthrough, and also urged them to try out the game’s DLCs, which are often considered to be some of the greatest game expansions ever made.
“I beat the main story last week and finished Hearts of Stone last night. If you didn’t think the story could get any better, you’re in for a great time. CDPR only raises the bar each time”

“Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are easily the best dlc made in the last decade. They felt like the old good expansions that we had in pc in the 90s/00s. Before the trend with mini dlcs started.”
“It’s such a great game that it ruins all other games for me.”
The Witcher 3 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Current-gen players can take advantage of the latest optimisation update, that gives the game improved visuals and a boosted framerate.
