Let’s face it, The Witcher 4 isn’t going to land anytime soon.
If CD Projekt RED learnt anything from Cyberpunk 2077, it’s that rushing is never the answer.
As such, I’d expect The Witcher 4 to remain in development for quite a few years - and I should stress that The Witcher 4 is a colloquial name for now.

All we know is that the game will indeed follow on from The Witcher 3, but will do so with a new protagonist starting a new trilogy.
In the meantime, there’s plenty to keep you busy in The Witcher 3, if you’re playing on PC that is.
You see, The Witcher 3 has always boasted an incredible modding community, but the launch of the REDkit modding tools earlier this year really expanded the breadth of what’s possible.
As such, we’ve seen some stellar fan-made expansions pop up in recent weeks, and there’s another that I’d like to highlight today.

‘A Witcher Can Hide Another’ is a brilliant new quest mod from NexusMods user nikich340.
The Witcher 3 looks stunning following its new-gen update.
The mod begins with Geralt falling into a trap and it’s from this point on that you’ll, drumroll please, assume the role of a new playable character.

It’s up to this new character to follow a nearby elf trail, leading to a mysterious new mountain location.
I must say, I have no idea why, but it’s only via doing this that you’ll be able to free Geralt from his predicament.
The quest starts in Novigrad, is fully-voiced, and features several outcomes so there’s great replayability.
The mod’s creator also teases new gameplay mechanics, although it’s not abundantly clear what they are.

It’s suggested that you reach level 40 before you embark on this quest, but it’s not a necessity if you’re feeling bold.
As the quest is hosted on NexusMods, it’s completely free to download for PC users and in fact, in just a couple of weeks, it’s already been downloaded several thousand times.
Dive in now.
