So The Witcher IV was properly announced at The Game Awards in an incredible trailer, and we now know that Ciri will be the game's protagonist.

While Witcher fans shouldn't worry about Geralt, it's clear his role in The Witcher IV will be a supporting one. That's as it should be!

But for those of you who want one last adventure with The White Wolf - or for those of you who just can't wait for more Witcher - The Witcher 3: Eternal Hunt could be for you.

If you’ve been following all things Witchery, you’ll probably have seen CD Projekt Red this year added official mod support for The Witcher 3.

As a result, there are a ton of new quests and cosmetics you can add to your game, but a clear highlight is Eternal Hunt.

According to the mod’s official description, it adds “new animations, scenes, enemies, items, armour, weapons, lore, effects, pseudo-quests, and much, much more. Its features number in the several hundreds.”

It also features support for other in-game systems, including “real-time meditation, auto-hide weapons for cloaks, wearable pocket items, blood/gore system, 3D HUD markers, weather system, ice-breath, and more.”

Given that The Witcher 3 was already a massive game, this is a seriously impressive effort that will give you hours of new content. Perfect if you're not quite ready to say goodbye to Geralt.

It's also worth noting we still don't actually know when The Witcher IV is coming out, but we'd imagine it'll be a little while yet. All the more reason to check out mods like Eternal Hunt, or any of the other fun expansions fans have come up with over the last year or so.
