With this week marking the sixth anniversary of our only The Elder Scrolls VI teaser, it may be a while until we see the next entry in the much-loved Bethesda series.
Yes, it has officially been six years since Bethesda first announced The Elder Scrolls VI and its 40-second teaser trailer. Since then, there has been pretty much radio silence leaving some fans to believe it may never arrive.
Check out the only proof that The Elder Scrolls VI exists below!
However, a The Elder Scrolls VI rival is on the way and those interested can check it out courtesy of a free demo currently available on Steam.

Airborne Empire is an open-world RPG city-builder from The Wandering Band LLC and tasks players with building a sky city whilst exploring a vast and beautiful landscape.
Players will need to build, manage and grow their own unique cities in the sky whilst traversing a world full of wonders, dangers and hidden treasures. However, a flying city needs the means to fly so you will have to consider propulsion if you want to stay airborne.
Of course, things are never that easy and sky pirates can attack at any time, leaving you to fend off their attacks whilst defending the city’s inhabitants.
“Only clever and daring leaders can grow and protect their homes, seek out and destroy enemy strongholds, and finally reunite the peoples of this world,” the official synopsis reads.

Unlike The Elder Scrolls VI where we can assume that our feet will be planted firmly on ground, Airborne Empire still features some much-loved features from the game in its RPG elements.
Not only that but this is the perfect game to sink time into whilst waiting for Bethesda’s next update.
Airborne Empire is available to try for free right now and will be released fully in Q3 of 2024.
