Who would love a free video game from Steam that you can download right now? Well, of course, you do, otherwise you wouldn't be here.
It’s not always cheap to keep up with our favourite hobby of playing video games. Subscription services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass certainly help to alleviate some of that financial burden in comparison to buying one or a few AAA games every other month. Plus, those subscription services can also give us the nice surprise of discovering an unexpected indie darling.

However, if we can download and keep a game that is totally free to do so, that’s always a welcome bonus in this day and age, especially during the ongoing cost of living crisis that we’re all feeling right now. One such free video game is the simulation RTS, Creo God Simulator. At the time of writing, Creo God Simulator is rated as “Mostly Positive” on Steam, which should give some indication of its quality.

Developed and published by MKSM Design LLC, Creo God Simulator is currently in its early access phase on Steam and it’s free to play. “Creo God Simulator is a game of city building, resource management, survival, and a ton of villagers smiting. As the divinely chosen Creostrider, it's your job to build a society bit by bit, while convincing your new population to believe in you as their one true god,” reads the description on the Steam store.
Creo God Simulator gives me vibes of the classic God sim of 2001 Black & White developed by Lionhead Studios. In Creo God Simulator, you will choose your God name and then it will be up to you whether your followers thrive or barely survive. The fate of their world is quite literally in your hands and your decisions will ultimately determine what they think of their God.
Creo God Simulator may still be in its Steam early access phase, but it won't be forever. So if you want to download and play this game now, and help provide feedback towards its development, now is the perfect time.
