Steam is already home to hundreds of free games, but that number is about to increase within the next month.
Avid PC gamers likely don’t need to be reminded that Steam Next Fest is just around the corner, with the event scheduled to kick off on 10 June until 17 June.
This “multi-day celebration” will allow players to check out “hundreds of demos” for upcoming games.

In addition to demos, there’ll also be live streams to join in with, and even chats with the developers of said games.
One free download you can check out currently is Fishbowl.
Basically, this event is not to be missed.

If you’re still not sure if this online festival is for you, you can check out the previous Next Fest via Steam.
And should you want to make sure you don't miss the start of June’s Next Fest, there’s a handy reminder button on its Steam page. We love a reminder.
In regards to the games we’ll see showcased, those details aren’t listed – it keeps the mystery going that little bit longer.
In the meantime, there are other free games to check out to tide you over.

Six new free games have recently been added, ranging from the cosy to the action-packed; a little of something for everyone.
For those of you who prefer classic titles, a truly iconic experience has recently landed on Valve’s platform that’ll transport you back in time to the 90s.
We have no doubt that even more freebies will pop up between now and early June, so there’s really no reason not to be checking out Steam.
Gamers always say that PC players get left out in the cold, but right now, PC games are thriving.
