Unreal Engine 5 developed shooter Project Tower currently has a free demo available for download on Steam ahead of a full launch later this year.
A demo for the game is currently available to download on Steam, though for fans that want to play an Unreal Engine 5 developed game with their friends in multiplayer then they'll need to find another game, since an official FAQ for the game confirmed that we won't be able to find our way through a new world with our friends, instead being dropped into the oncoming hordes of enemies alone.
Take a look at Project Tower in action below.
"Project Tower is a third-person shooter that melds intense bullet hell combat with a unique morphing mechanic. In a universe threatened by the Hiks, survivors of humanity are prisoners forced to fight in towers as part of Project Tower. You play as one of these inmates, aiming to reach the top to regain your freedom," the Steam page for the game reads.

The game also promises to have dynamic gameplay that allows players to modify their playstyle throughout the game, changing their weapons and using whatever they can find at their disposal. There's also a series of puzzles throughout the game that the player has to solve while they're still attempting to keep a series of enemies away from them.
"Take part in the adventure. Immerse yourself in this new universe. Will you be ready to take up the challenges of the tower?" the Steam page concludes. While there's no official release date for the final game, the Steam page indicates that the launch is currently set for the third quarter of 2024, which starts next month and ends in September, so news on the date will likely come sooner rather than later, with a price point for the title also announced closer to the time.
