Who wants to claim a freebie that you can keep forever? Well, of course, you do, otherwise you wouldn't be here.
It’s always nice to claim a free video game, especially one that is fun and on top of that, is critically allclaimed and loved by many. The free game that is the topic of today is one for people who love retro-inspired sports titles of yesteryear and it’s available to download and keep forever on both PC via the Steam store and PlayStation via the PS Store.

The free title in question is Sportsfriends which features a collection of fun sports games (or the developer's Die Gute Fabrik take on certain sports) that can be played between two to three players (more the merrier, I say) either locally or online.

“Sportsfriends is a compendium of award-winning local multiplayer games. Featuring: retro-styled fighting in BaraBariBall, QWOP-like pole duelling in Super Pole Riders, high-velocity passing in Hokra, and, on Mac and Linux, face-to-face sparring in Johann Sebastian Joust,” reads the description of the game.
On Metacritic, Sportsfriends has garnered a respectable score of 82, so you know that the chances are, you’re going to have some fun with the title. Whether you play on PC or PlayStation, Sportsfriends can be played with both the DualShock 4 controller as well as the Move Controller offering full motion support.
“Sportsfriends hardly feels like a video game, and that's what makes it so special. It's an experience that anyone can enjoy, regardless of their gaming experience, totally irrespective of their speciality at sports or team-based games,” said Polygon in a review.
“Sportsfriends is a celebration of the social side of games, their ability to bring a room together in one loud, raucous moment and how they're so much more fun when enjoyed with company,” wrote Eurogamer.

One of the best things about claiming Sportsfriends free of charge is that there appears to be no expiry date for the offer. That’s unless it’s pulled from digital platforms never to be seen again, in which case, you might want to download it now just to be safe.
