Steam users have a new free game to play, and those that have played it already absolutely love it.
If you’re a fan of mystery or spooky games then this one might just be for you, and even if you’re not it’s a free Steam game so you might as well play it anyway right?
Speaking of mystery and spookiness, Atomfall launches later this week and it’s jolly good
The game we’re talking about today though is called The Children Of Clay, with a unique premise and visuals that’ll get you hooked right away.

The Children of Clay is described as a “short stop motion archeology horror game, where you have to study an ancient artefact and discover its dark secret.”
As the description says the visuals are indeed stop-motion and it works in a video game format quite well.
In front of the player is a clay statue that can be rotated and inspected to discover its origins and what exactly its purpose is.
Looking at it evokes a sense of eeriness and it’s actually quite unsettling after a while, yet you can’t help but keep looking at it to learn its secrets.

Despite being free-to-play and how easily it could slip under the radar as a result it’s done incredibly well in terms of reviews, with 686 reviews at the time of writing and a rating of overwhelmingly positive.
“Excellent investigative psychological horror game … A great example of how, even with few gameplay elements, it is possible to create a completely terrifying atmosphere, without canned jumpscares or deafening sounds” reads one of the reviews.
Another reads “A cool little horror game. It's free and only takes around 10 minutes to complete, so it's worth checking out.”
It clearly comes highly recommended, so you might as well give it a go when you’ve got some time spare.
