Gaming should be accessible to all, regardless of your budget. With the latest releases costing a pretty penny though, you may find yourself often shopping around for offers, giveaways, and deals.
If you’re a PC gamer, Steam is a great place to look. It often runs great sales, but it’s also home to plenty of free-to-play indie gems - some of which I’d like to highlight today. Another six have joined the site and there’s a bit of something for everyone. I’ll begin with rubickanov and Bins’ Beyond the Breach, a new first-person puzzle-based RPG. Set in a world overrun with robots, you’ll play as a defective bot who wants to find a way to flee the facility. I’ve got to say, I’m very intrigued by this one.
Take a look at Beyond The Breach in action below.
Next up, you can also grab Fittest Fire, a 2D platformer by FittestFireLLC. “In a ruined world, overrun by evil robots, a disabled cyborg named Blaze rests,” the synopsis teases. “Send a spark of energy from your world to Blaze’s to wake him up. Help Blaze take revenge against the robots in this fast paced 2D platformer where you workout to level up.” If 3D platformers are more your thing, then maybe SMU Guildhall and Cohort 32’s Kneedle Knight will be of interest. In this puzzle platformer, you’ll assume the role of a mouse who must use his magical needle in order to defeat the Witch of Fabric. This one looks positively delightful.

Wild Monkeygames’ Tales of the Magic Ball: The Lost Sorcerer is yet another puzzle platformer. This one includes you rolling your way to victory though. If you’re looking for a precision platformer, then you may want to check out Pogo-Gogo which looks way more fun than it sounds. You’re tasked with pogoing up a skyscraper, and it’s giving the same energy as viral hit Only Up!.
Stepping away from platformers, we have Bearwaves’ Feud which is a turn-based strategy game. “Swap pieces on a four-by-four grid to isolate your opponent's pieces, or go straight for their King. Hone your skills against three AI characters with distinct play-styles, then challenge your friends online or on the same screen,” reads the description.
These six titles join six more that landed just last week plus a further 30 from across the rest of the month of February. That’s 42 games to choose from in total.
