Valentine’s Day is wonderful if you’re in a couple and if you’re not, well, it’s a great excuse to stay at home, avoiding the public PDA that only makes your single status sting all the more.
If you fall into that camp, worry not. You’re far from alone, and there are plenty of stellar new releases to keep you busy.
I still haven’t put down Hello Kitty Island Adventure, or perhaps Kingdom Come Deliverance II is more your kind of thing?

If you’re on a tight budget, that doesn’t mean you can’t join in on all the fun.
As reported by the ever handy SteamGamesPC on Twitter, four new free-to-play games have landed on Steam, and perhaps one of them will keep you entertained this weekend.

Based on ideas of shamanism, you’ll find yourself trapped in a Korean hospital and assume the role of an internet streamer who, after seeking to explore the seemingly abandoned hospital, finds themselves stuck in a shamanic hellscape.
To find your way out, explore your environment, collect clues, and overcome the various puzzles and individuals that block your path.
For racing fans, you may want to check out Clutch: The Drift Simulation by developer Yoshi Jeffery.
Clearly, this isn’t going to be something as comprehensive as Forza or Need For Speed but if you simply want to burn some rubber while drifting around a track, this has got everything you’re after.

For turn-based strategy fans, I’ll direct your attention towards Ubisoft Paris’ BUMP! Superbrawl.
This one’s a 1v1 set within the “vibrant utopia of Arcadia” where mythical deities and legendary creatures partake in events known as superbrawls.
Finally, I bring you American Cooking Simulator which is … a bit of a satirical take on fast food by the looks of things.
Created by developer Freedom Burgers, you’ll be tasked with running a fast food joint except you’ll seemingly prepare everything using … guns?

I did say it was a bit of a satirical one.
Hopefully something appeals. If not, have a browse. There are plenty of free-to-play gems on Steam, including Marvel Rivals.
